| We should have leagues that we play in, and then have playoffs for the two leagues and the winners play in a world series | |

| I like it... but we'll need more than 4 teams to do that, so spread the word, see if we can get some inactives active or draw some new people in! | |

| Another possibility is we could have non-owned teams. They would start with the same 5 for everything with 20 points that get distributed randomly. | |

| thats actually a really good idea, i could work up something like that to get us like 12 teams, and then at the beginning of every season if new people join we can either oust the worst non-owned (or AI) team or save them for expansion. Nice..... | |

| For season 1 its very basic. Like ive mentioned, i have worked with some formulas in excel using the random number function as a basis. Then i put restriction on that number to generate it in a certain range, based on the attributes of your team and it generates on overall result of the game. This means at least at first the game recap will consist of runs scored, hits, errors, walks, strikeouts, HR and maybe a few others for each team as a whole. Doing it on an individual player basis is a lot more complicated. So your stats would reflect the team as a whole. (i.e., team batting average, HR, Ks, BBs, etc.) I expect it might be a little weird during the first season as i work to figure out the correct range to set everything. But then again, if you want a very detailed sim... head on over to SimYard as many of you guys already have! Any other questions class? | |
