Application for Team

I know a lot of you have been waiting for this, hopefully i havent overhyped it too much, keep in the mind the reason why ive been stressing the BETA part of it is because its just that... an RPG in the works, so it may seem really basic at first until i figure out level of interest, activity, and what people find interesting.

Without further delay, this is the topic to apply for your team. You can use what ever team you want, real MLB or fictional. First come first serve. Just copy the form below and fill in the information.

After you request is received, you will be placed in the "Teams" forum where you will be able to set your attributes as so:

You start off with 20 experience points which you can place however many into whichever attributes you choose. All attributes start out at 5 with no cap. These will affect your team play as described below.

OFFENSE
Contact: Ability for your team to hit the ball
Power: Ability for your team to drive the ball for extra base hits and home runs
Speed: Ability for your team to steal bases and get extra base hits
DEFENSE
Control: Ability for your team to pitch the ball well in the zone, increases strikeouts and lowers walks
Err Res: Also known as fielding, this affects your teams ability to play their positions with minimal errors
Arm Strength: Increased arm strength helps your pitchers throw better fastballs, thereby making their offspeed pitches more effective. Increases strikeouts.
LEADERSHIP
Inspiration: Ability for you to raise the spirits of the team
Knowledge: You're level of knowledge as manager/owner can help you work through difficult situations
Trust: A higher level of trust making your players more confident in you and therefore increase team unity and spirit.

Thats about all there is to it right now. The basic idea is that once we have all the teams, i will set a simple schedule and games will be simmed, results will be posted. Im still figuring things out as i go so stay patient!

Thanks for the suggestion, but for the moment ill run with this, not because i dont want anyone else to, but because im still figuring out how i want to roll with this. But definitely once i get things under control ill let you roll with a part of it.

It's looking like a success so far, hI'll try to help when I can because it looks like you're about to be completely swamped.

that sounds good to me considering i work all day. If you want to help right now, what you can do is watch the teams page and check to see who posted updates to their attributes. Then edit the main page ( it will look weird because of the table format) and add the points to each of attributes as the owner requested.

Easy enough?

After that players team is updated, edit their post similar to what i did on the application page, and in big bold letters put, TEAM ATTRIBUTES UPDATED, just so i know and we can keep track.

How many teams are we going to need to get started?

Well if we wanna do divisions the ideal number would be 8 so we can do 4 and 4. Im waiting to see how many we can get before throwing my hat in the ring. id rather run it than be in it, lol.

In addition i would suggest you see if you guys can pull a few more people in, good opportunity to advertise the site.

Hopefully some PPworlders will join. There hasn't been much action today...
