| To change it up from the norm, im looking to maybe make a closer in success mode, in the past ive always tried to max out the top speed but its hard to do that in success mode and be able to make it through. If you were to pick one good "out pitch" from those 5 choices which one would you do?
Personally im thinking of getting my pitcher to have 90 mph fastball, and at least a level 4 knuckleball... seems like a very good compliment
Thoughts? | |

| RSM created a great sticky for closers and pitchers in general so please refer to his note for any questions regarding creating closers before posting. Thanks! | |

| i got him through about a month in My life, so hes still pretty raw, as of now i believe this is what he looks like:
Top Speed: 86 mph Control: C Stamina: B
Knuckleball: level 5 Hard Slider: level 2
Through one month of My Life: 10 Saves, 1 Blown Save 1-1 Record 1.75 ERA 25 Ks 2 BBs
Thats about as much as i can remember

| Pretty good. But you should focus a little more Top speed and a little less on stamina | |

| Yea, looking back i would agree, the main reason for stamina was in order to get through more innings in the games in AA and AAA, but i also did NOT think of the glove polish to increase speed, so i may scrap this guy and try again with that valuable knowledge! | |

| Think of this I didn't boost my starter Ivan Wilkersons Top speed at all. It started at 86 glove waxes made it 98 | |

| Yeah, but you need a glove and $600 to buy one glove wax, which improves your top speed by either 1 or 2 mph. I used one for Skalski and look how he turned out! | |

| i gave up on making a closer, for some reason i have better luck with starters, and last night was no exception, with a dominating use of saving / reloading, i created my best pitcher yet.... password... as with all my other characters, still pending on my finding my dang camera cord but ill give the run down:
First Name: Andy Last Name: Ace Save Name: Ace Position: Starting Pitcher Top Speed: 100 mph Pitches: 4 Seam Fastball Curveball (lvl 4) Changeup (lvl 2) Original Sinker with more change (lvl 2)
Stamina B (137) Control C (???)
I cant wait to try this guy out in My Life mode, ive never had a starting pitcher with faster than a 92mph fastball. And its one of my better staminas too.

| You can try to write down the password. That would make it tougher, though. | |

| if you max out your knuckler, you really only need one small breaking pitch, then you just upgrade control, stamina and top speed. | |

| true but knuckler cost a BEASTLY amount of points to upgrade, and i was focuing on stamina for the most part | |

| well, you could always have a lesser pitch like a splitter or palmball, then convert it to knuckleball after you max it out. | |
